HOLOEYE Photonics is one of the leading suppliers of Spatial Light Modulators based on Liquid Crystal Microdisplays and of Diffractive Optical Elements for scientific and industrial applications. Our development, engineering, and technical sales teams are based in Berlin Adlershof. Our international team of 40 colleagues supports research institutions and industrial customers worldwide by offering static diffractive microoptics and adaptive spatial light modulators. Holoeye offers both standard off-the shelf components and customized solutions according to customer requirements.

Use Case: HOLOEYE’s Spatial Light Modulators (SLMs) are versatile devices used in various applications. They help to develop new holographic display systems, support optical switching architectures in telecommunication, enable new microscope and imaging technologies and even shape the light for laser material processing.

To strengthen our SLM product group we are looking for a:

• Location: Berlin-Adlershof | Remote: 20% | Fulltime

Your Team: As the Technical Product Line Manager for SLM, you will have the privilege of reporting directly to the CEO. Within Holoeye's dynamic ecosystem, your role as a group leader will be pivotal. You will be along with other group leaders who oversee critical product divisions such as Electronics, Display, and Software Development.

Your Hiring Manager: Sven Krüger, CEO of HOLOEYE Photonics AG, is a seasoned leader with 25+ years of experience in the photonics industry. He emphasizes teamwork, open communication, and pragmatic solutions as the keys to customer success.

• Technical Product Ownership: Lead the technical product development life cycle of 5-6 distinct product categories within the SLM product line from concept to launch
• Gather and analyze input from electronics, SLM software, and microdisplay teams to inform product design and development
• Coordinate with production and metrology teams to ensure manufacturing and quality control standards are met
• Technical Project Management: Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring milestones are met
• Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and collaboration
• Utilize project management tools (e.g., Atlassian products) to track progress

• Strategic Planning: Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with company goals
• Market Research: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities
• Develop business cases for new products and enhancements to existing products
• Customer Focus: Work closely with sales and marketing teams to understand customer needs and market demand
• Support the development of marketing materials and product documentation
• Engage with key customers and stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure product satisfaction

• General: This role requires a combination of technical expertise, product, and project management skills
• Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business engineering, photonics, optics, electric engineering, micro-system engineering or physics
• Technical Product & Project Management: Proven experience in product management or related roles, proficiency in project management tools and software (e. g. Atlassian products), Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Technical Leadership & Mindset: Proven or aspired technical leadership and team management skills, intrinsic motivation and solution driven
• Collaboration & Working method: Excellent communication & ability to work with shared resources, Ability to work systematically, self-organized, but also team oriented and able to cope with changing demands
• Industry: Preferably experience in the photonics, electronics or optical industry
• Ideally Knowledge of electro-optical and photonic systems & familiarity with metrology and manufacturing processes
• Strategy: Proven or aspired understanding of market analysis and product positioning
• Language: Proficiency in English language, German language skills highly welcome
