The Senior Manager Systems Engineer (m/f/d) for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible to further enhance the development of our Clinical Laboratory Automation Systems and will lead our engineering team.

This position is part of the R&D department located in Munich and will be on-site. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving innovative solutions.

• Oversee design, development and maintenance of complex systems ensuring they meet customer needs and industry standards
• Lead, mentor and manage a team of systems engineers to achieve business goals and deliver high quality products
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams such as product management, SW/HW development and operations to ensure seamless integration and delivery of systems
• Manage the entire systems engineering lifecycle, from concept development to post-implementation support
• Develop and implement engineering processes and standard to improve efficiency and quality

• MSc or PhD in Engineering / Science
• 10+ years’ experience in development of mechatronics systems
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience in regulated environment, preferably diagnostic medical devices
• Ability to influence leaders and create fellowship
• Ability to lead and collaborate with others to achieve business goals
• Possesses strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• Professional certifications such as INCOSE
