As part of R&D (Research & Development) in the Application Software team, you will work on one of the leading software solutions for microscopy.

Become part of our open-minded and committed team and create innovative solutions for the most demanding applications and customers. We share knowledge, support and rely on each other to push the boundaries of what is possible.

The Application Software team is responsible for a wide range of areas, from the complex sequence control of microscope components and the creation of appealing user interfaces to high-performance image processing on CPUs and GPUs. Working closely with all other R&D teams, we offer software solutions that help make the invisible visible and empower our customers to create a better, healthier world.

• Designing state of the art user interfaces within our “Leica Look & Feel” and a focus on usability
• Selection and implementation of design patterns for the efficient development of GUI libraries
• Development of software in C# with the WPF framework in compliance with project and process flows
• Ensure the high standards of our software solutions in collaboration with the QA (Quality Assurance) team
• Creation of software specifications and documentation

• Successfully completed studies in the field of computer science, engineering or natural sciences as well as several years of professional experience in software development
• Several years of experience creating user interfaces, ideally with WPF
• Experience with modern software development methods and tools
• Very good knowledge of the programming languages C#
• Good knowledge of English and German
